My professional career focused on secondary education for more than 40 years. However, I have never traveled anywhere without a camera. When I was 19 years old, I used summer job earnings to buy my first 0“real” camera, a Leicaflex. And thus began an enduring – and intensifying – interest in seeing, interpreting, and imagining the world through the lens of photography. Much of my photography explores the effect of diffused light, changing perspective, natural forms, and patterns.

Now photography is both a passion and a vocation of mine. I am inspired by the poetry and beauty in landscapes, moods, birds, wildlife, and patterns in nature. Sometimes my photographs capture the seemingly inconspicuous and overlooked. I strive to discover what the imagination tells the eye to see.

Most photos were shot in Switzerland, Italy, USA, and Kenya. Images shown represent a small selection of my portfolio.
